LA Galaxy won the MLS cup 2012 this is their back to back Title. They are champions of 2012. Final Score is LA Galaxy 3 Houston Dynamo 1

The crowds are partying, mostly outside Home Depot Center, and all is apparently in place for the Galaxy and Houston Dynamo as they prepare to kick off MLS Cup 2012.

The game will be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes and the Galaxy radio broadcast will be on KTLK 1150. The broadcast time is set for 1:30 p.m., but actual kickoff is scheduled for 1:55 p.m.
Both teams are as healthy as they've been all season. The Dynamo, champions of the Eastern Conference listed no players on the league's injury report.

The key injury question for the Galaxy is defender A.J. DeLaGarza, who is listed as questionable. He sprained his knee in a game on Sept. 30 and has not played since. If DeLaGarza can't go, it will be rookie Tommy Meyer in his spot next to Omar Gonzalez at central defense.

Meyer has performed well in DeLaGarza's place. He played in the final four games of the regular season and has played every minute of the Galaxy's five postseason games.
The sky is cloudy and a few rain drops have been felt, but no rain is in the forecast for the game.

A year ago, the Dynamo and Galaxy played on a rainy night at Home Depot Center, when the Galaxy scored a 1-0 victory.

This is the Galaxy's eighth appearance in an MLS Cup final and they are looking for their fourth championship. The Dynamo, who won Cups in 2006 and '07, are making their fourth appearance since the club was formed in 2005 after the franchise moved from San Jose.It's the final game of the six-year

alaxy career of David Beckham, who announced two weeks ago that he would seek to play elsewhere next year. The 37-year-old will still be under contract with the Galaxy, but his duties have yet to be determined.
The lineups for the game are expected to be released about a half-hour before kickoff.

Ronda Rousey talks sex before fights, fighting at the movies and more on Jim Rome show

Appearing on Jim Rome's new talk show on Showtime, Ronda Rousey gave no hints as to her UFC debut, but visible bruising showed she's in serious fight training. Instead, she talked sex before fights, Georges St-Pierre's comments on women in MMA, and the fight that got her sued

Ronda Rousey, sporting a badly discolored leg from Muay Thai training and some facial bruises covered up by makeup, talked sex before fights and Georges St-Pierre's comments on women fighting during the second episode of Jim Rome's new Showtime talk show Wednesday night.

Rousey was the subject of a segment involving 10 questions and made it clear she was in fight training, but provided no hints as to when, where or who she would face in her inevitable UFC debut.

Rousey has in the past spoken about how she thinks sex before fights is great for women, thinking it raises their testosterone level, although maybe not the actual day of the fight.

"For girls, it raises your testosterone, so I try to have as much sex as possible before I fight actually," said the 25-year-old who appeared on the cover of this year's ESPN Body Magazine. "Not with everybody. I don't put out like a Craigslist ad or anything, but if I got a steady, I'm going to be like, `Yo, fight time's coming up."'

The UFC's women's bantamweight champion did seem annoyed when Rome brought up comments by Georges St-Pierre, who said that he wasn't a fan of women's mixed martial arts and didn't enjoy watching women punch each other in the face. Rousey seemed mad someone in her own sport would say that, comparing that attitude with the generation of boxing fans who looked down on MMA because it was different.

"Initially, the way he said it, it reminds me a lot like when you listen to boxing fans that are like, 'Oh, the MMA fighters, they're good athletes, and they're talented and good for them, but I can't stand to see guys humping on the ground like that. It's not a real man's sport. Good for them, that they make money,' they're kind of prejudiced against it," she said. "(He) seems to have very much that same kind of prejudice toward women in MMA, and he said it as tactfully as possible. That doesn't make it a tactful thing to say."

In fairness to St-Pierre, everyone does have the right to enjoy or not enjoy sports or aspects of sports. If he had said he didn't believe women belong fighting in MMA, that would be a very different issue.

She then told a story about her wildest fight, this one before she ever got into MMA, with two guys in a movie theater, which ended up getting her sued. She joked that they picked the fight, and then when they lost, they filed a suit. But since there were enough witnesses to what happened, she won in court as well.

"Yes, I got into a fight with a couple of guys at the end of 2007, before the Olympics, in a movie theater," she said. "It was four couples, so four guys and four girls. One girl tried to get into it. And I had two friends with me, who held off two of the guys, so I was only really handling two guys by myself. They sued me for assault because it didn't really go too well for them. I guess if you lose a fight in Santa Monica, the next option is to sue. Everyone in the theater was cheering for me. I was thinking I might have a future in this."

Nolan Daniels Powerball Hoax: Man Posts Fake Lottery Ticket To Facebook (PHOTO)

A Facebook user named Nolan Daniels posted a photo of himself holding what appears to be a winning Powerball ticket from Wednesday's record $588 million lottery drawing to his feed, according to the Savannah Morning News. The post is reportedly a hoax.

The public photo, which was shared at about 10 p.m. Thursday evening and hadreceived more than 450,000 shares by Friday afternoon, included the statement:

Looks like I won't be going to work EVER!!!! Share this photo and I will give a random person 1 million dollars!

Citing the Powerball website, Gawker points out that the numbers on the ticket were "not in numerical order... [as] a real ticket would be" and called the image "poorly photoshopped."

But the post was enough to fool a lot of people, even after a winner in Missouri came forward, and video footage of the alleged second winner surfaced.

Powerball has yet to confirm a second winner of the historic jackpot. The remaining winning ticket was bought in Arizona.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher kills his girlfriend before committing suicide at Arrowhead Stadium: police

According to police, Kansas City Chiefs LB Jovan Belcher committed suicide Saturday morning at Arrowhead Stadium after killing his 22-year-old girlfriend.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, a former Long Island high school star, gunned down his girlfriend Saturday before committing suicide at Arrowhead Stadium, police said.

Belcher, 25, pumped a bullet into his head as Coach Romeo Crennel and General Manager Scott Pioli watched helplessly from a few feet away, said Kansas City police spokesman Darin Snapp.

"They said the player was actually thanking them for everything they'd done for him," said Snapp. "They were just talking to him and he was thanking them and everything.

"That's when he walked away and shot himself."

Only minutes earlier, the overachieving defensive starter repeatedly shot his 22-year-old girlfriend in front of her horrified mother, the Kansas City Star reported.

The distraught mom called Kansas City police to report the brutal slaying inside the home about five miles from Arrowhead, where the Chiefs play their home games.

"She identified him as a Chiefs' player," Snapp said.

A second call came into police about the same time from the Chiefs' practice facility at the stadium, said Snapp.

When police arrived around 8 a.m., they spotted the four-year pro holding a handgun to his head and speaking with Crennel and Piolo, Snapp said.

After the gunshot, officials placed the stadium on lockdown. The Chiefs officials told police they never felt threatened, and that Belcher expressed his gratitude to the pair who took a chance on the undrafted, undersized linebacker.

Crennel was a longtime assistant coach for the Giants under Bill Parcells — who is also Pioli's father-in-law. A third Chiefs employee witnessed the early morning suicide, cops said.

Belcher and his slain girlfriend had a 3-month-old daughter. The pair were arguing before Belcher went into his deadly rampage, and were going through a rough stretch, police said.

"We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning," the Chiefs said in a statement. "We are cooperating with the authorities in their investigation."

Belcher was an All-Suffolk County player at West Babylon High School, where he played linebacker, defensive line, offensive tackle and fullback.

The 6-foot-2, 228-pounder led the squad to an undefeated season as a senior.

He was also an outstanding wrestler, but pursued his football career at University of Maine. After winning recognition as the Colonial Athletic Association's defensive player of the year, the undrafted free agent signed with the Chiefs in 2009.

Belcher was a special teams ace as a rookie, notching a team-high 17 tackles, before moving into the starting lineup a year later.

Belcher started 10 of the Chiefs' 11 games this season — coming off the bench for the first time last week in a l7-9 loss to the Broncos.

His West Babylon neighbors were in shock as news of the horrific killings spread Saturday around his hometown.

About 20 people, many hugging and crying, were gathered outside the gray clapboard house where Belcher once lived.

"That happened in Missouri. We're in West Babylon. We're waiting to hear news, that's it," said Long Island neighbor Corey Jordan.

The Chiefs are slated to host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in the stadium near the spot of the suicide. The NFL said the game would go on as scheduled.

"Prayers go out to the KC Chiefs community and families after this morning's tragic incident," tweeted Giants defensive end Justin Tuck.
